Hi.

My name is Lee, welcome to my pages. I hope we can have fun together?

When I’m not developing recipes for others, writing guest blogs, writing my own blog, or even trying to learn how to paint, I’m usually spending time with the amazing Mr G (my husband) or with my lovely daughter or my lovely son (very proud mum).

What is this all about? Great question. This site is about real cooking and baking, real recipes and real mistakes.

No filters here, (although i’d love to find a filter that can take ten years worth of laugh lines away. Just me, whats happening, and whatever cameras or phone i have to hand .

There are many things that get under my bonnet and wiggle around, one of those is food waste. If i buy ingredients specifically for a recipe, and i only need a small amount of the ingredients, i want to be able to use the rest up and not have to throw them away. My mum used to say , “Waste not Want not” is that still a saying ?

For me, waste is not just about using up all the ingredients. What about leftover food? If i’m able , i hope to give ideas as to how to use up any leftovers too.

Be Brave

Cooking isn’t hard , neither is baking, its all about being brave and being ok with making mistakes

Raspberry Smoothie

Raspberry Smoothie

A raspberry smoothie is refreshing and just a little bit indulgent, make it with SuperNutrio Whole Milk and it becomes creamy and high in protein too.

I made this to be a high protein drink, but make it with whichever milk you love, and with. plant based milk to make it truly vegetarian.

Nothing can be easier to make for breakfast or an afternoon pick me up, than this raspberry smoothie, just add everything to a blender, whizz until smooth and thick, and it’s ready to enjoy.

Smoothy full of protein and fruit.

What You Need

  •  500ml SuperNutrio Whole Milk - or the milk of your choice.

  • 300g Frozen Raspberries – See Tip Box

  • 1 Banana – See Tip Box

  • 1tbsp Honey

  • 1tsp Vanilla Extract

Easy ingredients but full of flavour

How It’s Done

  •  Place the raspberries, banana, honey and vanilla into a blender.

  • Pour in the SuperNutrio Whole Milk - or the milk of your choice

  • Give everything a whizz and keep blending until what’s left is beautifully smooth.

  • Once smooth, give it a taste and add more honey if needed – See Tip Box

  • Switch the blender back on and give another whizz.

  • Pour the raspberry smoothy into a tall glass and enjoy.

Stick in a straw an your ready to go

 Tip Box

  •  Frozen Raspberries – Frozen raspberries are the perfect thing to use in this raspberry smoothie. If you use fresh, add a couple of cubes of ice to the blender.

  • Banana – Adding a banana to the smoothie helps make it nice and thick.

  • Honey - 1) Honey is a natural sweetener which makes it ideal for a smoothie.

2) Giving the smoothie a taste lets you add more honey if it’s not as sweet as you’d like.

Cool, fresh and fruity
