Frothy Pumpkin Spiced Latte
It’s that time of the year when pumpkin appears in shops, but you don’t have to wait for a seat in your favourite café to enjoy a seasonal latte.
A warming spiced Pumpkin Latte which i added extra protein to by making this with the high protein milk SuperNutrio Whole Milk, but the recipe works so well with the milk of your choice and even a plant based milk.
If it’s a latte, there has to be a frothy top, so heat and whisk more of the milk to be able to add a hefty layer of the white foamy milk.
Frothy or not, it’s worth making this just to be be to able to get that winter warming feeling and fill the kitchen with all those winter smells.

What You Need
300ml SuperNutrio Whole Milk - Or milk of choice – Plus more to make milk foam – See Tip Box
50ml Strong Dark Coffee
3tbsp Pumpkin Puree
1tsp Ground Cinnamon – Plus extra to serve – See Tip Box
1tsp Ground Ginger – See Tip Box
1tsp Ground Nutmeg – See Tip Box
1tsp Vanilla Extract
1tsp Soft Brown Sugar – See Tip Box
How It’s Done
Into a heat proof glass or mug, add the pumpkin puree, cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, ginger and soft brown sugar.
Give it all a really good stir to combine everything.
Pour the strong dark coffee over the pumpkin mixture and give it another stir to mix.
Set it aside until needed.
Place the SuperNutrio Whole Milk (or milk of your choice) into a saucepan and heat slowly until it’s just below boiling point.
Pour the hot milk over the pumpkin mixture and give it a good stir.
Meanwhile, make the froth by adding more milk to the saucepan and heating gently until it comes up to boiling point.
While the milk is heating, constantly whisk until the top of the milk has a thick layer of foam.
Spoon the milk foam over the top of the pumpkin latte.
Shake more cinnamon over the foam and serve hot.
Tip Box
Milk Foam – 1) Adding milk foam to the top of the latte is optional.
2) The trick to making milk foam is to whisk constantly as the milk comes slowly up to boiling point.
Spices – How much of the spice to use it down to your taste, so after making your first, if you want to add more, go ahead.
Brown Sugar – If you like your latte sweeter, give it a taste and add more brown sugar to suit.
