When I’m not developing recipes for others, writing guest blogs, writing my own blog, or even trying to learn how to paint, I’m usually spending time with the amazing Mr G (my husband) or with my lovely daughter or my lovely son (very proud mum).
What is this all about? Great question. This site is about real cooking and baking, real recipes and real mistakes.
No filters here, (although i’d love to find a filter that can take ten years worth of laugh lines away. Just me, whats happening, and whatever cameras or phone i have to hand .
There are many things that get under my bonnet and wiggle around, one of those is food waste. If i buy ingredients specifically for a recipe, and i only need a small amount of the ingredients, i want to be able to use the rest up and not have to throw them away. My mum used to say , “Waste not Want not” is that still a saying ?
For me, waste is not just about using up all the ingredients. What about leftover food? If i’m able , i hope to give ideas as to how to use up any leftovers too.

Cooking isn’t hard , neither is baking, its all about being brave and being ok with making mistakes
Its always great to get a shout out in the media, and recipes I developed for St Helens Farm goat butter have been doing the media rounds.
St Helens Farm is the UK’s largest producer of goat milk, so it’s great to get my hands on their amazing products.
Recipes using the very sexy ingredient of brown butter, made with their goat butter can be found on my recipe pages as well as on St Helens Farm website.
Foodie Book Club CIC launched the Everyone Can Cook Project.
A project which finds funding to try to work towards eradicating food poverty by increasing the cooking skills of households.
The project involves delivering Free ingredient boxes along with recipe sheets to households in need of a little help.
Lee develops dishes that are easy to follow, understand and re-duplicate using pantry and foodbank ingredients which are then delivered free to homes in need.
Work with Karbon Homes to develop recipes using foodbank and pantry ingredients along with recipe cards to help develop cooking skills to enable families to save money and build a community.
Foodie Book Club has a fabulous piece written about it in Northern Insight magazine. Another step to letting everyone know about Foodie Book Cub and how it helps to support lots of people with their emotional well-being.
Its Been a long time coming but i eventually pulled my finger out and launched my online cook along cooking classes.

Chefs, chefs more chefs and other incredibly talented people showing off their skills live for us and Foodie Book Club.
Of course we had to have a YouTube channel to post them on so that everyone can access them at any time, so our new YouTube Channel was launched, Foodie Book Club YouTube.
Foodie Book Club has the great pleasure to be in partnership with Booths and that means that Lee Majhen gets to use some of their seasonal ingredients from local producers to cook live.
